Known for her tenacity and unique welcoming style, Vanessa conveys humor, intelligence, curiosity and genuine compassion in her interviews and has the ability to think quickly on her feet.

As Sci Fi's very own digital diva, Vanessa hosts DVICE TV and takes viewers on location to see how the hottest new gadgets, electronics, & techie toys really work. Vanessa pushes herself to the limit discovering, comparing, testing, and even trying to break the latest devices so you won't have to. Her mission: To have lots of fun while helping you get your gadget geek on!

In addition to deciphering devices for DVICE, Vanessa can be seen reporting on environmental stories for Equator HD's Keep It Green/Riverwired.com and bringing the best of shopping to viewers as a host for the Today show/MSNBC.com. Vanessa also covers all aspects of lifestyle in New York City and has hosted Cool in Your Code, New York 360, The City that Never Sleeps, and That's So New York for NYC TV.

Born in Manhattan, Vanessa got her first taste of hosting as an eighth grader when she snagged a gig reading the school lunch menu on the local news. Those tater tots really rocked! After spending her awkward high school years in South Florida, Vanessa raced back up north to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Boston University's College of Communication and School of Journalism in 3 years.

Armed with a resume full of internships ranging from CNN to Fashion File, where she covered London fashion week during a semester abroad, Vanessa returned to the Big Apple and landed a job as an assistant at MTV. She quickly worked her way up to Segment Producer for MTV News covering celebrities, fashion, music, movies, pop culture, Black History Month, the September 11th tragedy, and other pro-social international news stories. Vanessa has since produced segments and programs for VH1, E!, Full Frontal Fashion, and Video Fashion.

After MTV, Vanessa hosted Downtown Community Television's IMNY, a television talk show series shot before a live studio audience of young adults which was awarded two New York Emmys. Vanessa went on to host another critically acclaimed DCTV production: Bridge to Baghdad, a two hour live satellite dialogue between young people in New York City and Baghdad, just two weeks before the war with Iraq commenced.

Next, as host of the National Lampoon Network's Comedy Academy, Vanessa used her upbeat personality and improv skills to "bring the funny" while interviewing actors, directors, and celebrities at movie junkets and on the red carpet. Vanessa is currently developing original programming through her production companies, Upside Up Productions and V-Ray Productions.

In addition to being a published writer, internationally exhibited artist, and travel enthusiast, Vanessa enjoys painting, decorating, hunting for thrift shop treasures, exercise/fitness, dancing, singing karaoke, vegetarian cooking, watching movies, hanging out with friends, family, and Suki the dog, and living a life that is rich-but not too fattening-with experience & adventure!
